Introduction

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world: in 2010 the company manufactured over 8,4 million vehicles on five continents. The Japanese group began its automotive operations in 1937 and has by now expanded to 27 countries and regions, operating 53 manufacturing locations throughout the world, and selling its products in over 170 national markets.

Toyota is widely regarded for its environmentally conscious approach, having played a pioneering role in the development and popularization of hybrid powertrain technologies. Since the 1997 launch of the petrol-electric Prius more than 5.5 million full hybrid Toyota and Lexus vehicles have been sold worldwide.

Toyota Central Europe Kft. can look back at nearly two decades of successful operations. Established as a 50:50 % joint venture of Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA and the Toyota Tsuso Corporation, it has been the official Hungarian Toyota distributor since 1991. The company has since expanded its operations to include the distribution of Lexus vehicles.

As of 1st January 2015, the business activities of Toyota and Lexus brands for the region of Central Europe have been started by the newly established Toyota Central Europe (TCE) located in Budapest - Hungary.

The main objective of Toyota’s business reorganization within the region of Central Europe is to improve the efficiency of operations and individual processes, taking place jointly at all three markets mentioned above. At the same time, support function synergies will be achieved by centralizing them to the Hungarian head office of TCE.

Who are diplomat clients; 
Taxation information

Diplomatic and Consular corps, international organisations with diplomatic licenses; members of such corps and organisations, as well as their family members. Qualifying customers may purchase motor vehicles exempt from customs duty and registration tax, as specified in relevant legislation.

Tax exemptions or reductions for diplomats are defined and governed by Act CXXVII of 2007 on Value-Added Tax (under Paragraphs 107/108)
